Made from an early 1960s sewing pattern, this dress has a psychedelic yellow print in all shades from lemon to orange and rust. The fabric is an official "Yellow Submarine" design.
It has a soft shirt collar, fastening with two yellow shell shaped buttons. The waist closes with a snap fastener and a zip at the centre front.
Due to a glaring omission for which I can only apologise, there are no pockets in this dress!
The skirt is straight, and comes down to below the knee. It has a kick pleat in the back to allow ease of movement. The sleeves are short, and can be worn cuffed or folded down to elbow length.
This dress has been worn and washed once.
Size 14-16 - not one of my usual sizes! The original pattern is a vintage size 18½. Half size patterns were designed for the more mature figure, so they have a more generous waist measurement than ordinary patterns.
Best fit for body measurements: Full bust: 39" (99cm) Waist: 33" (84cm) Hips: 43" (109cm) Skirt length: 25.5" (65cm) from waist to hem
This dress is made from 100% cotton fabric.
You can wash it in the machine at 30 or 40 degrees. (You may need to iron it afterwards.) The more you wash and wear this dress, the softer and more comfortable it will become.
